Craft Consortium’s ‘Winter Wonderland’

Well hello, hello, hello…

I know, I know… it’s been a lifetime since I blogged last but life has been a bit pants lately and I had to put crafting on hold for a couple of months.  I won’t bore you with he details but a corner has been turned and slowly things are getting back to normal.

Anyway, enough dull stuff… As many of you know, I have been on the Craft Consortium DT for a while but have left due to the above stresses and strains.  Such wonderful, lovely people (def apply if you ever get the chance!) and the products are just so scrumptious!!  So these are my last makes for them  using their new range, ‘Winter Woodland‘ which has just flown off the shelves on Create and Craft, well done guys!

These cheeky little Artist Trading Cards were so lovely to make.  In my usual, grungy style, I’ve layered and matted the papers adding texture and inks.

This range has been designed once again by Kate Hackney and is just beautiful.  It’s Christmassy without shoving it down your throat and I love that subtly… it’s simply stunning.

This shaker/stepper card also uses the ‘Winter Woodland’ papers:

The thing I love about Craft Consortium paper pads is the front and rear covers.  You always get added images like the toad stools and leaves I’ve used on this card and they are all glossy and fabulous!

Do check out the ‘Winter Woodland’ paper pad… it’s simply beautiful!

American Crafts

Hello everyone,

Just a quick blog post for you today as I’ve got a million and one things to do and seem to be treading water somewhat.

This week, we celebrated my middle daughter’s 18th birthday! She has an amazing year coming up and I am super proud of everything she has achieved to get here.  To reflect her coming year, I bought some gorgeous travel themed papers and embellishments from American Crafts. Their ‘Shimelle’ range is just adorable and perfect…  cameras (for her love of photography) world maps (for her love of travelling) as well as cute alphabet stickers made to look like an arrivals board in the airport!

With this in mind, I made a stepper card and just threw everything I could at it.  You know by now I don’t do minimalistic cards!

The American themed papers suit her year ahead so well

Wooden planes and cameras fly above the card on strips of acetate

The inside of the card wasn’t left out…

I can’t believe I now have two children over 18… one to go 🙂

Catch up again soon people… I’m off to deal with my washing! Take care,
