Catching up with WOW! Makes

Hello everyone…

I thought I’d share some of my WOW! makes on the blog as I normally write straight onto the WOW! blog and so skip my own.  So today I’m just uploading… not going into detail as I’d be here forever!

This make was for the January Challenge and uses the super sparkly Hot Gossip and the beautiful Metallic Gold Rich.

I do love this card… the grungy background is awesome!!

This ‘TIME’ card uses Visible Image stamps on a Distress Spray Stain background which I’ve then splattered with gesso, Posca pen and more spray stains.

Literally only just ‘released’ this one for WOW! A lovely floral card using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals for the die-cuts

I do love a floral card although usually I grunge them up and texturise them but I tried to keep this more mainstream.  Using the Sara Naumann inspired Parc Florals trio, I’ve layered the florals onto a heat embossed background and then added Kiwi Krush for the leaves.  Jury’s still out for me on this one…

I really love using feather stamps and dies and I got this Altenew set, Golden Feather, for my birthday earlier in the year.

Teamed with the Seth Apter inspired Metalz and Cosmic Trio of powders, I love the detail the powders bring out on the feathers.  the Metalz and Cosmic powders are not super fine but still, they pick up all the detail… just superb.

My absolute favourite WOW! make!

My cogs card is right up there as one of my favourite WOW! makes.  Again, I’ve used the Seth Apter powders along with the WOW! Mixed Media Embossing Brush to create this textural patina effect which I’ve seen so many times on other peoples work but never attempted myself before.  I’m waiting to get out of lockdown so I can frame this make for the craft room.

March’s challenge was to use the Glintz powders which I’ve teamed with a simple ‘hello’ stamp and a Tim Holtz die-cut which I then used as a stencil

Beautiful, beautiful colours from Sara Naumann again… Sea Turtle, Sea Salt and Sea Mist

I’m a huge fan of cool colours… maybe it’s because I was bought up by the sea?  I don’t know but I love them.  These Sara Naumann powders are some of my favourites in the WOW! collection.  Here I’ve used the gorgeous Create Your Own Calm from Visible Image to highlight the colours… gosh, they really compliment each other.

April’s challenge is Rainbows! Something I’m sure the WOW! team never anticipated becoming so widely used in April!

The gorgeous and glittery Bundled Up trio from Catherine Pooler sparkling away on this floral card

One of my go-to Visible Image stamps is Creative Chaos so when they released a larger, Total Chaos stamp I was a bit over excited!  I’ve layered the petals using Peppermint Scrub for the edges, Skylight for the skinny flowers on the right and sparkly Sage for leaf.  Got my favourite Metallic Copper on the background too on the computer/digital stamp.

So there you go… just ten cards for now but shows a variety of styles.

Thanks for reading… H xx
