I’m back today sharing my latest card for Visible Image using their new Revolution stamp set and you may recognise this card if you managed to catch Helen and Mark on the Visible Image Facebook Live recently.
I just love this set and it comes with NINE small stamps to use on backgrounds or use as a focal point… it’s all just fabulous! If you look in detail at the main stamp, you have text going around it, a clock, those little circles (which would be perfect for glossy accents or even stamping in) and there are even birds flowing out the bottom. Honestly, it’s just an incredible design.
I began this make by making an ombre background with the focus in the centre of the card and I used the brown tonal distress oxide ink pads for this. Once done, I’ve spritzed with water and then splattered it with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Spray, oh, and I gave it a little spritz of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist too as I’m addicted to the stuff!
I’ve then taken the floral emblem (can I call it that?!) and stamped it down one side using Hickory Smoke oxide ink pad.
The main image has been heat embossed using WOW!’s Black Magic powder and it’s just perfect or this as it’s black but has flecks of gold and silver in and just looks fabulous when melted.
With this complete, I also heat embossed the fleur-de-lis emblems in gold onto a scrap of background card, fussy cut them out and attached to the card using 3D foam dots.
In the top right, I used the swirly stamp (?!) with gold embossing powder and I was going to stamp all the way round the card but decided just to keep it on one side as it looked more effective.
Having stamped the sentiment stamps down one side (also using the Black Magic embossing powder) I decided to grunge it up a little and add some more embossing powder around the edges, to give it a tarnished and worn look.
If you head over to the Visible Image Facebook page, you can see lots (and I mean oodles) of inspiration from everyone using this and the other new stamps released this month and don’t forget their Instagram page too!
See you all again soon…. H xx
