Well hello everyone…
If you’re reading this you’ve probably already seen the gorgeous new stamps released by Visible Image. Which one’s your favourite? Have to say mine is The Right Direction and Don’t Judge. Love them, love them, love THEM!!
So today’s make uses Don’t Judge which is perfect for so many different occasions and journalling.
I’m really into smooched backgrounds right now but I don’t bother with a glass mat or anything. I just smooch various oxide ink pads directly onto watercolour card and then spritz to get some lovey drips going. Once dry, I splatter with a glimmer mist and some Distress Oxide Spray Stain just to add a faint hint of twinkle and some texture.
Once the background is dry and trimmed to size, I used Visible Image’s Fibres stencil to create some added interest behind the figure. In the stamp set there is a fabulous little scribble stamp and I’ve heat embossed it using Wow’s Metallic Gold to go under the other side of the figure.
With the background complete, I used the grey tonal oxide ink pads to create another (smaller) smooched background which I then stamped the different sentiments over in a darker grey. Over this, I heat embossed the figure using Wow’s Ebony Superfine powder and used a Posca pen to scribble around the outline fo the figure so it echoed the stamped scribbles behind.
After trimming the figure, I stamped the jig-saw shape, carefully fussy cut it out, added vellum behind the shape and adhered the shape to the card. The main sentiment was stamped onto an off-cut from the figure and layered onto card before stapling into place. For a final bit of interest, I stamped the different words from he set at the top of the card in no apparent order or pattern. I quite like the rough look!
Here’s the Visible Image products I’ve used for this make…
That all from me today. Don’t forget (as always) to follow Visible Image on Instagram and Facebook for loads of inspiration and videos from Mark and the DT. It’s always brilliant to see everyone’s makes on the Visible Image Group Page too! I love getting inspiration from something someone else has done… you know when your brain goes ‘Ping!’!! Haha!!
See you next time, Heather x
