Just Breathe: Visible Image

Hello again…

It’s time again to share some inspiration for the Visible Image design team.  Today’s card uses the totally gorgeous new Just Breathe stamp set that was released in June.

I wanted to make a grungy card using distress oxide ink pads for the background.  Using Walnut Stain, Ground Espresso, Brushed Corduroy and Gathered Twigs, I’ve just smooshed them on a glass mat and layered up the colours until I was happy.

For the die-cut heart, I’ve matted a piece of old map onto card and used the lighter distress oxide ink pads in the same way as before.  The colours I’ve used for this are: Tea Dye, Frayed Burlap and Old Paper.  I’ve then stamped the ‘Breathe’ sentiment all over it with Archival Ink in Watering Can.

The torso stamp (and honestly, how fabulous is it??!) is heat embossed onto white card using Wow’s Metallic Copper heat embossing powder.  To add some depth (and I know I’m not the best at shading) I’ve painted in-between the bones using grey watercolour and added some watered down tea dye distress ink to the edges and bones.

The torn vellum strip at the bottom has had thermal ink splats stamped on and the ‘immortal’ sentiment heat embossed over this.  A ripped strip of card has been tucked in behind it and both have been edges using Vintage Photo distress ink.

To finish, I’ve matted the design onto black card and adhered to a 7×7″ and added a few dabs of Ranger Liquid Pearls in Rose Gold.

Here’s the gorgeous stamp set to swoon over…

And there you have it!  If you haven’t already seen the Visible Image Summer Sale… with a stonking 30% selected stamps and stencils (and there is LOADS to choose from!!) hope on over and grab yourself an absolute bargain.  These stamps are super-duper quality and the stencils are definitely the best quality and thickness I’ve some across – and I have loads of different makes!

Catch up soon folks… H xx
