It’s so refreshing to leave the rich colours of Winter and Christmas makes once more and head for Spring colours!
Over at Craft Consortium their gorgeous paper pads are just perfect for Spring and summer makes and I cannot wait to share some of their new pads to come out soon!!! Very exciting stuff!!! But, for now let me share this cute circular shaped card I made using the 12×12″ ‘English Garden‘ paper pad. As always, the attention to detail is just beautiful and the illustrations (by Katy Hackney of Hackney & Co) are out of this world!
I’ve got a rather cute filigree butterfly X-Cut die that I thought fitted the papers well and so used that as the basis for my card and revolved everything around that.
The papers (in my usual style) are all inked to give a bit of a shabby look and the circles have been added to the card blank using 3D foam (I’ve used the empty packaging the dots are set in as it’s such a large space).
I wanted the butterfly to stand out, so I die cut it again using the same papers as the little florals and adhered it to the card under the original piece. By folding them slightly, it gives the card a focal point and a bit of movement.
The leaves and florals add to the spring/garden theme and really lift the card.
All it needed to finish was a small sentiment and some adhesive gems for a bit of girlie sparkle!
Thank you for all popping in… see you all soon,
