Multitude of Makes

Hello everyone…

Wow… what a week it’s been here… I’m exhausted but thoroughly pleased as I’m heading off on my holly-bobs  for a much needed and very long awaited holiday.  Hurrah!!!  So now I’m rushing around washing last minute bits and trying to think of everything we might need.  I’ve also got to get organised for the furry pupsters who are off on their holidays to the seaside while we’re away. Anyway, I thought I’d pop a few of my latest makes up here for your perusal and thoughts while I wait for the next load of washing.

I treated myself to Stamping’ Up’s ‘Pop of Paradise’ stamps recently and have used them quite a bit (they’re fabulous!) Instead of layering them and doing my usual thing, I thought I’d use watercolours with them as the trend for watercolours is pretty big at present.

This One

I’ve put a simple watercolour wash on the background before adhering the heat embossed images

The pineapples for the background have been heat embossed in white powder before adding the watercolour wash

This One

Another watercolour wash background with a hint of gold from the spritzing ink before die-cutting the detail out and matting onto the pink card

As you all know, I have a slight obsession with Craftwork Cards and I absolutely adore their new range ‘Tropicana’.  Full of flamingo’s, palm trees and cacti, it sums up summer perfectly and I LOVE IT!!

Look at those papers!!! Gorgeous! I’ve teamed them up with the ‘Pop of Paradise’ stamps for this make as the two ranges compliment each other so beautifully.  All I need now are another 10 hours in the day so my brain can keep up with the ideas it has planned… oh, and some more storage to cope with all the new pads I have bought lately! Ssshhhh!

My next two makes are for the Craftwork Cards Fan Page as they were having an ATC swap.  As these are dinky little creations, I was eager to join in and used ‘Love a Cuppa’ and ‘XXX’ which I have sent off to my recipients.

Craftwork Cards papers are so easy to work with and the quality is always tip-top. I must play with my papers and USB’s more than I do.

Next up is a card I had fun making.  The papers are old ‘American Craft’ papers which I’d forgotten I even had. Hands up if you have papers stashed away you rarely look at, let alone use!    There’s so much detail in the papers, you can fussy cut bits out and layer them up (very me!)

That’s all for now peeps… I’ll see you all on my return when I’ll be fully refreshed and relaxed (I hope!)  and I’ll have some special news to share with you all xx
