A Trio Of Postcards

Hello to you all and thank you for popping in…

I’ve been lucky enough to have a weekend off this week ( a rare and wonderful thing in my ‘proper’ job) and so after gorging myself on this month’s Craft Stamper magazine, I got all inspired and wanted to play with stamping and watercolours.

After a quick nip ino Hobbycraft (as I couldn’t find my watercolour pad anywhere… I swear there’s a Gremlin in the craft room hoarding my stuff away somewhere) I set about creating these three little A6 postcards.

The first, using Picked Raspberry and Broken China Tim Holtz’s Distress Spray Stains, creates a riot of colour for me to then stencil and over stamp onto.  This is my favourite out of the three as the colours are just beautiful.

The second, I’m not so chuffed with if I’m being honest.  I got a bit carries away and the mahogany tyre track ruins it I think.  I’ve also slightly blurred the meadow stamp which was irritating as it was the last thing to be stamped. Felt it deserved a quick show though, at least you can tell it’s hand-made!

This little lovely postcard, harks back to one of my favourite ranges by docrafts, ‘Ahoy There!’ The stamps are super cute and *note to self* I must remember to use it more. As you can see, I’ve stitched around the borders of each card with my dodgy sewing machine.  I wanted a sketchy look to the sewing so have created wobbly lines as I went along.

I’m not sure whether to back them onto cards or just leave them as they are but we’ll see.

I’m off to clear up the inky mess as I’ve got a rather special card to make for next week 🙂
