Hello crafty folk,
A quick post from me as I’m in the middle of cleaning up the craft room after making this little tag in the week. It’s like a hurricane has blown through and I ended up working in such a small square… but I think we all do that!
The background is acrylic paint swiped not he textured black yardstick using a palette knife and stencilled over using Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads in ‘Tea Dye’ and ‘Vintage Photo’ and also Papermania ‘Enchanted Gold’ heat embossing powder.
The metallic bird has been stamped on the same black textured cardstock using a glue pad and has gilding flakes gently brushed over the image. I wasn’t sure the detail would show up but it’s pretty good for a first attempt!
The bird has been adhered to stamped vellum using 3D foam dots and attached to the Gelli plate printed scalloped circle.
I’ve then simply secured hessian and lace with a small amount of raffia to add different textures. The sentiment, from Tim Holtz’s ‘Ideology Big Chat Sticker Book’, has been adhered to the same Gelli printed paper as the scalloped circle and the button has been sewn on to top it all off!
And that’s that for tonight! I’ve spent the day at a Craftwork Cards workshop today with the lovely Julie Hickey down in Horley. A magnificent day and I’ve lots of un-finished bits and bobs to keep be busy throughout the week. When they’re all finished, I’ll pop some pics on here.
Thanks for reading… enjoy your weekend.
