Happy Birthday!

Morning everyone,

Today is my lovely, beautiful middle- daughter’s, Daisy,  17th birthday… or her post birthday as she was actually born very early on Boxing Day morning but to give her a special day of her own, we celebrate it a month later.

For the past couple of years, Daisy has come to really love photography and since leaving school is now studying this at college (and doing rather well!)  So, when it came to her birthday card this year, it was obvious that the fabulous Sizzix die ‘Retro TV, Camera and Fab 50’s’, would be perfect for her.

The beautiful papers are American Crafts ‘Lucky Charm’ that I picked up in TK Maxx.  Again, the sentiments on the papers are perfect as Daisy has huge dreams and I thoroughly believe she will do exactly what she has planned for her future!

The retro camera is die-cut out of black and silver card with pale blue accents for the glass; this has then been coated in Anita’s Clear Gloss to give a high shine.  The camera ‘flash’ is die-cut using docrafts  Xcut dies and I’ve added adhesive gems for extra sparkle!

The large ‘smile’ sentiment is die-cut using Xcut Headliner die and adhered to a Papermania Chalkboard Sticker.  To give the impression of being separate from the card, I’ve backed the sentiment onto acetate and attached to the rear of the card.

I’ve used the Craft Asylum dies for Sizzix for the flowers and layered them using 3D foam dots.  Daisy loves flowers and the finish the corner of the card perfectly!

All I can add is Happy Birthday and have a wonderful posy-birthday!

See you all soon, H xx
