Geometric patterns are everywhere at the moment, in home decor to fashion prints and paper craft is no exception. Docrafts latest ranges, Geometric Neon and Geometric Mono uses sharp patterns along with bright, spring colours (in the Neon range) and a more masculine colour way (perfect for Father’s Day and those male cards).
I was keen to shrug off those Christmas makes and get cracking on something fresh and new so have had a play with some of the range.
I’ve used the docrafts ‘Forever Friends: Classic Decadence’ papers in the background (as I am awaiting the rest of my design team kit) and the ‘hello’ is easily recognisable as the free stamp from this months docrafts Creativity magazine (in shops now!)
I am loving the embellishments that go with this range as they are so fresh and quirky. These mirrored chevrons are only the tip of the range.
The Bare Basic tags have been half covered in craft tape or paper and adhered to the card using 3D foam dots.
Not one to pass a freebie, the Neon stickers that also came free with Creativity have been tempting me from my desk. I love their colours and the hint of colour they supply.
By adding some of the Neon card, it’s totally changed the Mono colour way into something much more feminine.
Layering up patterns and colours adds lots of interest to your makes.
The hexagons have been die-cut from the card and craft tape has been wound around the shapes. I’ve then added a shallow border to each hexagon to bring out the individual patterns.
I’m already working on my next lot of makes so pop back soon!
Take care everyone… H xx
