Bank Holiday by the Seaside

Finally found some time to do some crafting today, in-between the dull housework, and I’ve been playing with the ‘Ahoy There’ Creativity Club downloads once more. I’ve made an 8×8″ card today for a change and it was brilliant to have so much space to work with!

8"x 8" 'Ahoy There' card

This card is similar to the last ‘Ahoy There’ card I made a couple of days ago as it received some lovely comments and I took 6 orders off of it! (Thank you all!)

The waves are made from the ‘Core Color’ papers. I love the way you can rip and distress them to reveal the colour underneath, it makes them so versatile. I have them in lots f colours and they;re just gorgeous!

I’ve made the ‘DAD’ sentiment more central and one of the quirky seagulls is having a little rest on the ‘A’. Having outlined most of the embellishments in kraftcard, I then inked the edges using the fabulous Tim Holtz distress ink in ‘Vintage Photo’. The anchor is wrapped wrapped in a little nautical twine around the top and I added a bit of sparkle to give the impression of the hole.

The ‘With Love’ sentiment heat embossed, die-cut and then bordered and inked like before, some of the twine has been threaded through for a finishing touch.

Time for a quick cuppa before getting ready for school tomorrow. Gosh, that weekend went quickly!
